Blazer's Taxi
Reviews
"This was a story that needed to be told," said professional hockey coach, Doug Sauter. He was head coach for the Oklahoma City Blazers Ice Hockey team from 1995 to 2009. He wanted to find the perfect Clydesdale. "I decided I would like to get a riding Clydesdale so I cold ride in parades and events. I heard about this 2,000 pound Clydesdale (in Oklahoma). It took a couple of years to locate him, and then I bought him. His name was Hamish, but he wouldn't load into the horse trailer when I bought him. The owner said he had a soul mate, a miniature horse named Taxi. We loaded Taxi into the horse trailer, and then Hamish loaded right in. So, I bought both horses." Sauter changed Hamish's name to Blazer, so he could be the hockey team's mascot. But even to this day, he still calls the horse Hamish."

Captivating story of a treasured friendship between two horses, a wonderful read aloud with beautiful illustrations that capture the personalities of the horses and their owner. This heartwarming story of how the gentle giant Hamish became the mascot of the Oklahoma City Blazers. A heartwarming story of devotion between two of God's beloved creatures.

I have many activities on my Pinterest site. Look up horse activities. There are worksheets, mazes, and coloring sheets.
Here's an activity. Design your own horse cups or holders for treats. Great for a birthday party or special horse event.
